Its that time of year again – The London boat show and all the big boys are out in force with their latest design concepts. By design concepts I do of course mean that all the manufacturers have designed practically the exact same thing they’ve done every other year with the exception of one, which I’ll get to in a later post.

Glass and technology are probably two words that you don’t put in the same category.  Whilst you’re busy staring dreamily out of the window thinking about what else you could be doing, there are people working with glass to make it more interactive, more ‘user friendly’, more interesting. The truth is; there is more technology in glass and our future with it that you can possibly imagine.  The video below is testament to this as much of what is portrayed in it already exists today to some degree.

Seeing a beautiful yacht glide past often leaves you with that slightly envious feeling in your stomach. Lets face it, when you sit down to design anything, you want to create something that turns heads – preferably for the right reasons.

If you can stretch your budget, the sky is literally the limit with new and more glamorous concepts being created constantly, air travel is the one place where these is room for significant improvement.
