Art of Kinetik

Seeing a beautiful yacht glide past often leaves you with that slightly envious feeling in your stomach. Lets face it, when you sit down to design anything, you want to create something that turns heads – preferably for the right reasons.

So, with that in mind, a company who seems to have taken a bit of envy and then tweaked it by adding exotic woods and metals together with design inginuity, then varying from the norm of what you expect in boat design to create something even more stunning with the results pictured below, is a company that have done all of the above yet not many people have heard of.
Far too often ive seen concepts come about that leave you thinking: “how did this by pass so many creative minds to be approved, let alone built..” It doesnt actually matter how many gorgeous materials one uses in any sort of design. Get the concept wrong and it could be cast in pure platinum and still look like a dogs breakfast.
For some reason which I cant explain, tell someone about the latest Scandinavian, Italian, German or Japanese design and you immediately get their attention. Tell them about the latest Serbian design and it takes a bit more convincing. Fortunately this Serbian company has hit the nail on the head and quickly shut, all those prospective sceptics, up in creating a concept of ocean going transport which goes against the grain of traditional boat design and is nothing short of jaw-droppingly stunning.
Arts of Kinetik, whos shipyard is located in Belgrade have created the aptly named “Hedonist” which impresses me hugely. Its different yet simple lines and elegant materials only add to the appeal of what can only be described as a completely unique take on modern day ocean expression. The inclusion of Rolls Royce water jets for cruising speeds of 40 knots are just another masterful design choice which has enabled them to put their name quite firmly on the map. I for one, cannot wait to see what they come up with next.
